So, What Did We Think?
We had the opportunity to test out the “Make Your Own Chocolate Kit” by Glee Gum. This kit included everything I needed to provide my sugar addicted children the opportunity to create their own chocolate!!
This kit provided to options to making the chocolate including an option for the microwave as well as a traditional double-boiler. You simple melt, mix, and pour this chocolate. You can also make your own creations by adding fruit, nuts, or even peanut butter to the mix. It allows for total customization.
Now, we have had a couple of sick kids around here.. and lots of left over Halloween candy, so we have been pacing ourselves in starting this kit.. but Serenity was extremely eager to open the box. She was able to follow verbal directions easily including opening packages and finding the correct packages. The hardest part for her was waiting for the chocolate to get to the appropriate temperature for the final mixture. Overall, we really loved the kit. It was great tasting and very easy to do. I think this is a great project that can be customized to particular holidays or parties.. and we are considering purchasing kits to make for Christmas treats.
