About Smart Lab Toys

Our toy company manufactures book plus products for children ages 4 – 12. We believe that kids learn best through hands-on exploration, so we offer that experience wrapped up in a fun toy and a cool book.

In 2004, SmartLab entered the marketplace with eight science kits. Two years later, we expanded our offerings into arts and crafts. Our roster of award-winning goods now stands at nearly 50 products that stimulate both sides of the brain.

We are guided by a desire to both entertain and educate. We like to think we hide the vegetables in the cake, so to speak. And, as our 10-year-old fan Simon says, “One thing I like about your books is they teach you stuff, but they’re not just Blah, Blah, Blah like some science books.” I call that success! So, What Did We Really Think?

SmartLab Toys really does offer a large variety of science and art options for both boys and girls. You can find a large variety of things including; baking kits, jewelry kits, and makeup & spa sets, car designs, bug playgrounds, and rocket sets.

We had the opportunity to try out several of the 3D Puzzle kits including the Mega Dinosaurs 3D puzzle kit. It included 3 large dinosaurs. The pieces were simple for my husband and I to put together. Serenity was able to do some of the pieces.. but she needed quite a bit of help. Once they were all together, Caeden was super excited. The kids spent the better half of the next hour testing out their dinos fight and eating abilities. Haha. We also received the Ocean Voyage 3D kit, the Africian Safari 3D kit, and the Dinosaur Adventure kit. Overall, I highly recommend these 3D puzzles. The pieces were sturdy and easy to assemble. It provided the kids with lots of opportunity for pretend play.. and it helped Caeden get over his fear of dinosaurs.. haha.

Serenity would like to try the All Natural Spa Lab and Caeden has pointed out the Bug Playground . Santa may just have a special treat up his sleeve for them this year :)
