ZeroWater Review

ZeroWater was created over 15 years ago with the intention of created a truly pure water! Zerowater was awarded its first patent in 1996 and three additional ones since. The quality of the water is unlike anything seen in the commercial business.

How it Works?

With every ZeroWater pitcher purchase, you will also receive a TDS meter. This stands for “Total Dissolved Solids”, and represents the amount of dissolved substances in parts per million in the water we drink. These substances can negatively affect the way your water tastes. You can view typical rates in the chart below!

So, what did we really think?

I have always been interested in purchasing a filtered water system but could never commit to the price. So when the opportunity arose to give this a shot.. I was very excited. My initial thoughts when I received all of the media material was excitement. I had a blast testing the water of just about every place I went. Our kitchen tap water had a reading of 130. The water at my work had a reading of 165. And suprisingly enough, my bottled water had a reading of 0. I even went to far as to mix the tap and bottled water which cut the number in half.

Then, I set up the filter to work. I am not a fan of how long it takes for the water to filter through. It took a good 20 minuted to fill up the pitcher with the filtered water. We tested it and sure enough it was at ZERO. Now for the taste test. My initial taste was almost sour. It was not the same as opening a bottle of water. So I thought I should probably chill the water and try again. My second taste was much better.. in fact.. there was no taste and the reading was still at zero.

Overall, I LOVE the concept.  I think there are a few points that should be mentioned.. be sure to stop over and read their entire  ZeroWater is designed to be used with municipal tap water. It is not approved to remove bacteria in water supply. It does however, remove some properties including fluoride. ZeroWater is the ONLY filtered water system approved by the FDA to meet the standard for purified bottled water. ZeroWater is not distilled,  but it does have the same qualities.
