It is kindo wierd posting these.. cause I am never quite at the we ek in the title. I was actually 33
weeks and some days.. but that is really not important.

So, everything went well. Normal BP, no protein in the urine, good baby HR, and the little munchkin is head down.

However, she told me the tenderness in my upper abdomen could be an early sign of pre-eclampysia. It is really really uncomfortable.. and I have been trying to manage it the best I can. I am at the point where I just dont want to be pregnant anymore! She is not worried about it at this point because I have no other symptoms, but she did tell me to keep an eye on headaches that Tylenol won’t help and swelling in the hands and feet. Heath thought I was nuts.. but being the good little nursing student I am.. I did my reasearch and found this all to be true. We will keep our fingers crossed.

On another note, I am having a bit of a personal struggle. The doctor says that she has no problem inducing me at 39 weeks. Being that this is our 2nd, and Serenity was born at 39 weeks when my water broke, the doc said that should would anticipate a smooth induction. She did not that she would not consider this for 1st time parensts and that she is not just trying to get the baby out! I chuckled.

Part of me is all for this.. and I am glad that she understands my school situation and the baby being due so close to finals. Plus, I am one of those people who really like to have a baseline plan.. even if that changes down the road.

The other part of me knows that anything that seems this convenient.. never is. I know I should “let nature take its course”.. but in all actualality.. like is happening and there is only so much I can do regarding my situation.

I will keep you updated on what we decide as far as that situation. I am hoping to make decision by the next appointment which is the 16th.
