… but I am sure that you also think about quality affordable products! I am probably the worlds most makeup illiterate person.. but I try.. sometimes.. and thanks to BzzAgent and Covergirl.. I have discovered a whole new way of applying the smokey eye without a struggle.
The directions are simple… Use the rounded tip to apply the color over the entire lid and the angled tube to apply to the crease and lash line. Covergirl ShadowBlast eye shadows are available in six color combination’s, and there is a Get ColorMatched tool that will assist in picking out the best shades and combinations for you!

So, what did I really think?
I chose to review the Onyx Smoke ShadowBlast combo which consists of an almost silver lid color and black highlighter. It was very easy to apply as it is a cream shadow. I did apply it after my normal routine which consists of a tinted moisturizer, and because I was using a shadow, I used a primer.. also with cream shadows.. I find that dabbing on a bit of loose powder helps to prevent clumping. I had heard several rumors of creasing and smudging.. but I did not have this problem.. and I credit that to the use of the primer prior to application. Also, I think that the angled tube color works great by itself as an eyeliner. As a person who has difficulty applying eyeliner to the top lid.. this was amazing.
However, I did experience a few set backs. First of all, I did not chose the right color combination for my skin to create a smokey eye. In fact, as I was writing this review.. I was hopping back and forth from the Covergirl website and decided to take my Get ColorMatched quiz and found that I had indeed chosen the wrong combination. In fact, Covergirl recommends that I use either Bronze Fire or Citrus Flair ! I don’t think I really got the right blend. Eye product by itself was amazing though. Also, my rounded tube broke while I was applying the makeup. It may be possible that I was just being too rough.. but after examining it.. I think that if they just made it a little thicker.. that issue would be solved.

So, What did I really think?
I actually really liked this lip gloss. It has the perfect amount of shine without going overboard. It went on smooth and rich without being sticky.. and stays that way. The applicator is a nice touch, but in my opinion, it doesn’t really make or break a quality lip gloss. My only concern with this product is the taste. I guess I expected something fruity or maybe.. minty.. but nothing. The taste is not something that you would expect for a product on your lips.
