#79 Here We Go Steelers

As many of you know, I started a New Years list of things I wanted to do in 2011. It started as a list of new things.. but ended up evolving into plan for a new me. Stop over and check out my 101 in 365. I will be putting up a button on my sidebar so you can track my progress throughout the year. I will also update you throughout and when I complete a task.

So, I completed the first task on my list.. #79, “Spend the Day with my Dad”. We are both HUGE Steeler fans and when I lucked into Steelers vs Ravens playoff tickets, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to spend some time together.

My dad and I have had a rough relationship. Over the past few years, we have been trying to make amends and live in the moment. You can’t make up for lost time.. but you can make the most of the time you have. This was a day that I will NEVER forget.

Believe it or not.. this is my first time at Heinz Field, but not my first Steeler game. Pittsburgh is such an electric city with dedicated fans like no other. Our tailgate party rocked… I mean who doesn’t love free shots! Our seats were amazing. We even met a few okay Ravens fans. The experience of the game and the excitement in the air was amazing. Of course, we beat the Ravens 31-24. And the Jets beat the Pats… so the road to the Superbowl.. goes THROUGH PITTSBURGH. Yes!!!

Overall, my dad had a great time.. and he swore it was a day he would never forget.. but I drove home.. so we will see. Haha!
