Squishy, squooshy, squashy and totally adorable, Squinkies is the eagerly awaited new mini doll and pet, accessory and playset line destined to be the hottest new must-have kids’ collectible toy sensation.

Squinkies friend and pet dolls come encased in unique toy plastic bubbles.  Pop open the bubble and you’ll find a Squinkies surprise inside!

Launched in July 2010 by Blip Toys, the initial release includes a collection of 96 micro dolls (series 1 – 6) packaged sixteen each in a selection of popularly themed blister card Squinkies Suprize Inside Bubble Packs.  The collection’s initial three fun themes are Fantasy, Princess, and Birthday with many other additional themes and dolls to come!

So, What Did We Really Think?

That commercial is catchy. Really! Serenity had been singing it for weeks and really really really wanted those Squinkies for Christmas. She asked Santa and everything. And thanks to Squinkies reps Santa was able to deliver. We received the new bubble packs 7,8,9 and Santa provided a few accessories.

Personally, I didn’t see the big deal about these bubble gum style toy. However, the kids LOVED them. I was concerned about the size because they are SMALL. They are a choking hazard for young children… but for older children they are a great option. We loved the variety in little characters and the kids loved playing with the balls. Serenity was a huge fan of the rings and bracelets in which you can attach the Squinkies to customize the jewelry. Serenity also attached her favorite Squinkies to her pencils which made neat little toppers.

Overall, I think they are a great idea!I love that they are expanding their products adding Hello Kitty and Barbie options for girls as well as an entire collection for boys. They have accessories and play sets which add to the appeal of the product. I think we will have these in our house for a long time.
