popchips! Review

I don’t know about you.. but I love chips! I find myself snacking mostly in the evening when I am *trying* to catchup on several weeks worth of DVR’d shows. Yes my friends, I am GUILTY of eating chips and watching “The Biggest Loser”.. hehe!! But…. thanks to popchips I have found a healthier and super delicious way to enjoy one of my favorite snacks.

Believe it or not, these chips are popped. Not fried. Not baked. POPPED.

These chips are made simply by taking potatoes, adding heat and pressure and voila! Chips! Add a little flavor and you have a healthier snack for your late night cravings.

So what did we really think?

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised. I instantly ripped open the bag of BBQ.. it’s kind of my new favorite. I examined the chip for all of 3 seconds and popped it in my mouth. It was great. The taste was fresh, crisp and true to what you would expect.  I will say that the texture is different than your standard fried chip in that is it not that smooth greasy feeling you get when you reach into the bag. They are also different from baked chips in that the flavor is bold and evident in each bite.
