Easy Bake Oven Homemade Recipes

Serenity wants an easy bake oven for Christmas. She has already told Santa and just about anyone else that will listen. We of course snagged it a few weeks back for a heck of a steal.. $8.99!!! I LOVE price matching and coupon stacking :)

They look much different today than they did when I was a kid, and I am sure the price tag on the many mix options has changed as well. $6.99 a mix pouch! Ouch! Needless to say, I refused to pay that price!

I started toying with the idea of making my own mixes after I came across an Etsy seller who sold the mini mixes, but I still felt like I could come up with a cheaper option. So, I started browsing the web, and while making a normal amount of cake mix may seem like the obvious option, I have learned that there is so much more than can be done via light bulb cooking.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Things You’ll Need:

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon peanut butter
2 teaspoons milk
1/2 teaspoon butter or margarine
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Grease your Easy Bake pan. Combine Ingredients. Spread Evenly. Bake 5-6 minutes.

P.S. Do not put your Easy Bake pans in the dishwasher! They will rust!

Pizza

Things You’ll Need:

2 tbsp flour
1/8 tsp baking powder
dash salt
1 tsp butter plus extra to grease pan
2 1/4 tsp milk
1 tbsp pizza sauce
1 1/2 tbsp shredded cheese

Mix dry ingredients with butter until it starting clumping. Slowly add the milk. Shape dough into ball and spread onto greased pan. Add pizza sauce and shredded cheese. Bake about 20 minutes.

Fruit and Oatmeal Bars

Things You’ll Need:

1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 tablespoons (packed)brown sugar
1/4 cup self rising flour
2 1/2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons quick rolled oats
4 teaspoons applesauce or jelly, divide

Combine shortening and sugar. Add flour, oats, milk. Mix. Add half of the mixture to the greased pan. Top with jelly. Add other portion of oats on top. Bake about 20 minutes.
