We had a really good time. Our city does such wonderful free/donation events that are worth the day. Harvest fest happened to fall on a beautiful Sunday. They had several organizations that set up booths including both the boy and girl Scouts, the PTA, animal rescue organizations, and local businesses. They sold corn on the cob, pizza, and sausage sandwiches.. Mmmmmmm!! Serenity was a huge fan of the petting zoo. She didn’t quite care for the maze. It made her very mad to keep hitting dead ends. She painted a pumpkin and made a bracelet. Caeden mostly just hung out.. crawling in the grass.

The Doo-Doo Drop

If you are unfamiliar with what this is, please, let me explain. It is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. The cow, seen below, is placed in a penned in area. The area is divided into sections. These sections are available for purchase as sort of a lottery deal. You then sit and wait for the cow to do his thing. If he happens to go in the square you purchased, you will $500.

Our strategy was to pick somewhere on the side of the fence where there we no people. I figured since she spent most of her time eating in the one corner, she would likely use the other side to do her business.. wrong!!!
