“The Lost Symbol” by Dan Brown Book Giveaway
“The Lost Symbol” by Dan Brown
Dan Brown is an amazing writer. I have read and LOVED both “The Da Vinci Code” and “Angels & Demons”. Of course, I saw both movies which were fantastic as well. Then came his highly anticipated book, “The Lost Symbol”! I was like hold number 356 of 3,486 at the library about a week prior to its release, and needless to say, I ended up purchasing the book.
To be honest, I have not completely read the book yet, but I could no longer hold in my excitement for the opportunity to give a copy to one of my readers!
How would you guys feel about a virtual book club? I was reviewing some of the answers on my demographic poll and found that my readers would like to see more book reviews/giveaways and more discussions. I love to read.. I mean, who can forget that I read all 4 Twilight books in just one week! If you are interested, please let me know… it’s the requirement for this giveaway!
Soooo… about the book:
- The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
- Hardcover: 528 pages
- Publisher: Doubleday Books; First Edition edition (September 15, 2009)
- ISBN-13: 978-0385504225
Back-of-the-book blurb: The Lost Symbol is a deadly race through a real-world labyrinth of codes, secrets, and unseen truths . . . all under the watchful eye of Brown’s most terrifying villain to date. Set within the hidden chambers, tunnels, and temples of Washington, D.C. …
As the story opens, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned unexpectedly to deliver an evening lecture in the U.S. Capitol Building. Within minutes of his arrival, however, the night takes a bizarre turn. A disturbing object–artfully encoded with five symbols–is discovered in the Capitol Building. Langdon recognizes the object as an ancient invitation . . . one meant to usher its recipient into a long-lost world of esoteric wisdom.
When Langdon’s beloved mentor, Peter Solomon–a prominent Mason and philanthropist–is brutally kidnapped, Langdon realizes his only hope of saving Peter is to accept this mystical invitation and follow wherever it leads him. Langdon is instantly plunged into a clandestine world of Masonic secrets, hidden history, and never-before-seen locations–all of which seem to be dragging him toward a single, inconceivable truth.

A virtual book club wouldn’t really be something that I’d be interested in, but I’m a new follower, so I don’t think I should get a vote!
Thanks for the chance to enter. My other entries will follow in other comments as you instructed.

I follow and I think a virtual book club would be easier for more people to participate versus a book club whereas you have to have a weekly/monthly meeting.
