Paper Platypus Review & Giveaway
Sweetheart Gift Guide
Welcome to the Sweetheart Gift Guide edition Review & Giveaway.. please be sure to stop over at our main page for more review/giveaway and ideas that are sure to make this Valentine’s Day one to remember!
I love DIY projects, but they MUST be simple and to the point because I tell you.. I don’t have a creative bone in my body! Haha! Serenity really loves crafts and is always asking me to draw things. Really.. I cannot draw hippos, lobsters, or alligators! So, I am always on the hunt for fun activities with easy instructions that look great.
I’d like you all to meet Paper Platypus! Karen specializes in hand crafted flowers. Her interest was sparked in 2007 when she became engaged. Real flowers can become very pricey and she knew that just wasn’t her. So, for her own wedding, she personally designed and cut 200 paper roses! They were of course a hit and became a long lasting piece of memorabilia of her special say.
She has a large variety of flowers that are available in nearly any color combination you can dream of. You can purchase them pre-made, or you can purchase a kit and DIY! They are completely budget friendly, look fantastic, and will last forever! These flowers are great for any occasion including weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, or even every day decor.

Be sure to check out the Paper Platypus Facebook Page
So what did we really think?
I was skeptical as to whether I would be able to put these together easily. I am happy to report that I was successful! We had the opportunity to put together a bunch of chrysanthemums. The kit came with EVERYTHING. I was surprised by all that she packed into the kit including the glue and cue-tips. She also included fantastic step by step written AND photo instructions that really gave you the boost of confidence needed. All of the pieces were accurately and clearly label so there is no mistaking which was which. In the end, I made flowers that actually looked like the picture! Haha! I did have a little trouble with the floral tape, but then again, I have never used it before. All in all, great idea! They are a budget option for those that just cannot afford a dozen of real flowers and look just as great! I really loved the flowers and the options available and I am considering them for my sister-in-laws baby shower!!

I would love to try the trumpet flowers. They are very pretty! I don’t have a special occasion for them, but they would help me beat the winter blahs!

I reference your gorgeous paper flowers to all my bride clients via word-of-mouth, tip sheets, and email newsletters. I would love a sample of any flowers that are most popular for weddings so I can actually show the brides your samples.

I would love to try the plum mums. I became engaged recently and I am strongly considering using these for my flowers – since I am considering an order of 100+ this would be a great opportunity to try them out first! :)

The trumpet are beautiful and I really like the pink/green mums.
I would have them out on my table. Instead of fresh flower, that get pretty expensive this would be a great alternative. Flowers make me happy.

I would love to give my fiancee a bouquet of flowers that won’t die in a matter of days. She is very artsy/crafty and loves getting familiar gifts with a twist – I think these wonderful paper flowers would be perfect! Thank you for the offer and creativity!
