Heart of a Cowgirl Review
Heart of a Cowgirl
This review was actually supposed to be part of my Valentine’s Day event, but due to obligations on both sides and weather.. I got a bit behind.
I am pretty much in love with all things country. We have been here in the city for nearly 3 years and our longing to go back “home” has been steadily growing. Of course there are pros/cons for each place.. but right now we are stuck here. Of course, that doesn’t mean that I still cannot enjoy some country glam.. yea.. and Serenity too!!
So, I ran into Heart of a Cowgirl on Etsy and immediately fell in love with the jewelry collection that she has. I just happened to click on a link that took me to purses. Not just any purses, but those made from old cowboy boots!!! Eeeeh! I did some research and found out just how expensive this idea is.. and ran right back to her Etsy shop with Serenity’s old cowboy boots from last year. I couldn’t part with them.. but she has several old pairs that I put away for her.
Meet Heart of a Cowgirl
Born and raised in Michigan, this “city girl” always dreamed of a “country life” on a quaint little ranch raising horses.. and bunnies. She believes that being a cowgirl isn’t about where you live.. but the spirit in your heart and with that, Heart of a Cowgirl was born. Bridget is a self taught jewelry artist who creates a wide variety of unique western glam themed pieces. She has an entire line of leather cowgirl cuffs, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. She also has a knack for working with worn out cowboy boots! She can turn any pair of old boots into a brand new purse!
She was so great as to work with me on turning Serenity’s old boots into a BEAUTIFUL new creation that just thrilled us all! As I mentioned.. I just couldn’t bare to part with this particular pair of boots, but I really didn’t need another pair in a save box either. Why were these boots so special? Well, these were the boots that Serenity had when we got to meet our favorite artist.. Jason Aldean. Yes.. and they are signed!
So, I am sure you are all interested in the the final product? You are going to be amazed… really!!

AFTER
Awesome!!!
Right?! We love it! I couldn’t be more happy with the end result. She literally took a boot and turned it into a purse! Serenity was ecstatic when she received it. She knew right away that it “looks like my cowboy boots”… I explained it to her but overall she was just excited about a new purse. It looks very well put together.. we have had no problems with the beaded handle. Excellent construction. It is small, but that is because her boot was small. I just cannot sing enough praise for how adorable it turned out!
If you are interested in having your old pair of cowboy boots turned into a purse or clutch.. please contact Bridget. She is currently offering $1 shipping within the US and 10% of your purchase will be donated to an animal welfare organization or rescue group!!
